Ted Garcia will serve as executive producer.
His career spans more than 40 years in public and commercial
broadcasting. In June of 2008, he became the Senior Vice
President of Television Content at the Corporation for Public
Broadcasting, where he managed CPB's national public television
portfolio. He joined CPB after seven years serving as General
Manager and Chief Executive Officer of KNME-TV, licensed to the
University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Public Schools, serving
northern and central New Mexico. Prior to coming to KNME in 2001,
Garcia was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
of KETC/Channel 9 (PBS) in St. Louis, Missouri. He initially
came to KETC in 1981 as the Director of Operations. In February
2007, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson appointed Garcia to serve
on the seven-member New Mexico Tourism Commission; he was
subsequently appointed Chairman of the New Mexico Tourism
Commission by Governor Susana Martinez in April 2011.
He is the recipient of five regional Emmy Awards.
