who, like thousands of other Indians on the upper Missouri River,
lost her home and farm to the dams built under the Pick-Sloan Plan

Fifty years later, Congress would
finally admit that the condemnation of Indian lands to make was for
Pick-Sloan dams had been an unconstitutional taking of their
treaty-protected homelands.
