Marilyn Hudson, a revered elder of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and
Arikara tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation in central North
Dakota, has been the tribal historian for more than two
decades. She is also the director of the Three Tribes Museum,
in NewTown, North Dakota. Marilyn has served on many state
and regional historical commissions and is widely regarded as one
of the foremost authorities in the nation on the cultural and
archeological history of the Village Indians of the Upper Missouri
River.
